The relinker
Reads a clean PS5 ELF, resolves its imports by NID, and writes a Linux ELF or Windows PE executable. Bundled modules in sce_module/ are
converted alongside it.
AnyPS5 is the open-source tool that turns a PS5 executable into a native Windows or Linux program, with no emulator in between. This guide points you to the real repository, explains every release file, and keeps the compatibility list honest.
Official source: github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5 · GPL-2.0 · no games, firmware or keys included
relinker --windows source/input.elf app.exe
Figures come from the GitHub API and the project's own progress dashboard, synced Oct 11, 2026.
The PS5 runs on an x86-64 processor, the same family as a desktop PC. AnyPS5 uses that: instead of simulating the console, it rewrites the game's executable so your operating system can load it directly, and supplies its own versions of the system libraries the game expects.
Reads a clean PS5 ELF, resolves its imports by NID, and writes a Linux ELF or Windows PE executable. Bundled modules in sce_module/ are
converted alongside it.
109 PS5 system libraries are re-implemented as host shared libraries with the .prx name. The OS loader
binds the converted game to them at start-up.
PS5 shader code is decoded and re-emitted as SPIR-V for a Vulkan pipeline. Compiled variants are cached in memory and on disk so later runs reuse them.
You need two downloads from the v0.1.1 release: the relinker for your OS and the matching system library archive. Then a clean ELF of a title you are entitled to use.
# 1. Convert the executable (add --to-intel on Intel CPUs)
.\relinker-v0.1.1.exe --windows source\input.elf app.exe
# 2. Unpack the system libraries next to app.exe (creates libs\)
Expand-Archive prx-windows-v0.1.1.zip -DestinationPath .
# 3. Put the title's resources in app0\, then run
.\app.exe
# 1. Convert the executable (add --to-intel on Intel CPUs)
chmod +x relinker-v0.1.1
./relinker-v0.1.1 source/input.elf app.elf
# 2. Unpack the system libraries next to app.elf (creates libs/)
unzip prx-linux-v0.1.1.zip
# 3. Put the title's resources in app0/, then run
chmod +x app.elf
./app.elf
The output format is Linux ELF unless you pass --windows; naming the file .exe is not enough.
| You run | Relinker | Libraries |
|---|---|---|
| Windows | relinker-v0.1.1.exe |
prx-windows-v0.1.1.zip |
| Linux | relinker-v0.1.1 |
prx-linux-v0.1.1.zip |
Both library archives unpack to a single libs/ folder. Keep it beside the converted executable. Full breakdown in the
download guide; the command builder writes the exact command for your machine.
The project keeps a short, strict list of verified titles. Everything else is work in progress, usually on patched branches, and should not be read as “playable”.
| Game | ID | Windows | Linux |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dreaming Sarah | PPSA02929 |
In game, playable | not verified |
| DOOM Shareware (homebrew) | PPSA99666 |
In game (E1M1 and later maps) | In game (E1M1), software Vulkan only |

These percentages measure functions and instructions the project has declared so far. They are not a game-compatibility score. How to read them.
The upstream docs are deliberately terse. These pages unpack them, with every claim linked back to the repository.

Open →AnyPS5 is an open-source tool (GPL-2.0) published on GitHub at boykopovar/AnyPS5. It ports PS5 executables to Linux and Windows in two parts: a relinker that converts the executable into the host system's native format, and re-implementations of the PS5 system libraries (.prx) that the converted program links against. The project describes itself as having no emulation and no separate runtime process.
No. The upstream architecture notes put it plainly: nothing is emulated, and the converted executable runs as a normal process that calls native implementations of the system libraries. A PS5 already uses an x86-64 CPU, so the game's machine code can run directly on a PC once the file format and imports are rewritten. The GPU side is handled by a shader recompiler that turns PS5 shader code into SPIR-V for Vulkan. If you were searching for a “PS5 emulator on GitHub”, see how AnyPS5 compares with the emulator projects.
Only on the project's GitHub releases page. The current release is v0.1.1, published Sep 28, 2026. It contains the relinker for Windows and Linux plus archives of the system libraries; there is no installer, launcher or “games pack”. Any site offering one is not the project. The download guide explains each file.
The official compatibility table lists 2 verified titles: Dreaming Sarah (PPSA02929) and DOOM Shareware (homebrew) (PPSA99666). Dreaming Sarah is recorded as in game and playable on Windows. Beyond that, contributors track work-in-progress on 28 more titles in the “Game bring-up” discussions, usually on patched branches. Those threads are progress logs, not playable claims. The full picture is on the games page.
The project states that it is intended for interoperability, research, preservation and compatibility, and that it does not include, distribute or require copyrighted software, firmware, cryptographic keys or proprietary libraries. You are responsible for making sure any binaries you use with it were obtained and are used in line with the law and their licence terms where you live. This guide is not legal advice, hosts no game files and does not cover dumping or decrypting games.
An x86-64 PC running Windows or Linux, a GPU with a Vulkan 1.1 driver that offers graphics and compute queues, the relinker and the matching system library archive from the same release, and a clean ELF executable of the title together with its bundled modules. On Intel processors add --to-intel when relinking. On Windows, make sure the page file is large enough: a title's direct memory (up to 13,824 MiB) is committed in full. The setup guide walks through it.
A fast-growing project attracts lookalike “download” pages. The project publishes builds in exactly one place: github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5/releases. It has no installer and ships no games.
